    Seeking advice

Background: 1. I have completed my IPEB and final out of the Air Force in two days. I did not contest my DOD/VA ratings. Since the close of my MEB and now, I have received new diagnoses (EOE), that to my understanding fall under the GERD pyramid, but based on the CFR and my symptoms it should...

    DMV Area MEB - AD

Hopefully you got what you were hoping for! Keep fighting the fight. If retired/separated, you can expect around 10 business days for AFPC to cut you orders after you agree with your findings and your PEBLO forwards that paperwork to AFPC. Good luck!

When will I get my orders??

When finance approved my terminal leave I project accrued leave. So yes, count your acquired leave.

How many outprocessing days am I allowed? AFI?

DAFI 36-3003, Table 3.6, Rule 2. You are eligible for 20 days of permissive TDY (CONUS), however, this must be approved by commander. All med board separations are considered Involuntary separatees. Your orders will also state you are eligible for permissive.

02/08/24 - MyFSS email stating my PRDA has been updated. (Nothing updated in PRDA). Career data brief is now reflecting a projected separation date and local MPF emailed and said they are tracking my separation and will email me whenever they receive my orders.

When will I get my orders??

Your PEBLO should send you the pre-sep worksheet the same time you receive your PEB findings, and you fill it out you’ll send it back to your PEBLO for them to send it off for processing. Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think the MPF is responsible for cutting medical...

When will I get my orders??

So when populating orders they give you 15 days to out-process, 20 days permissive (commander approval) and whatever terminal you have remaining. So whenever orders are received + 35 days + terminal leave will be your official DOS.

Have you received the automated email from AFPC confirming they received your AF Form 618? If so, you should be hearing something back very shortly. Any day really. You will receive an email notifying you that the PEB completed your case and that your PEBLO should notify you within 24 hours.

90-180 days does not sound accurate, that timeline may be accurate if they are including the entire PEB process and expecting you will appeal and go infront of a formal PEB and so on, that’s when you can really start to drag this process out. The VA only took 2-3 weeks after receiving my DBQ’s...

Verify if all the DBQ’s were upload into your TRICARE Portal. The VA may be waiting for further information or is scheduling you for more appointments.

The criteria for ratings for my specific condition (left wrist non-union fracture) is very difficult to receive a 30% rating on my non-dominant hand. I do not think I would qualify for a rating of 30% or higher, nor do I want to drag this process out for another 3-6 months.

I received 10% DOD and 90% VA (91% actual rating) I’ll receive my severance with no recoupment through the VA due to my injury incurring in a combat zone. I plan on filing for an increase in 6-12 months to hopefully get 100% with the VA.

PEBLO reached out today (29 Jan 24) with IPEB findings. Recevied both DOD/VA ratings. I am not appealing so now I wait for seperation orders. Estimated 1-21 days for AFPC to populate them.
