I got an extension from my leadership to keep me active duty for a month. Didnt want to take my kids out of school too early since I’m not staying in the area.

My leadership wrote a memo saying I was mission essential and asked afpc to extend me 30 days. I was really worried about making it to the end of the school year. You do get a little more permissive leave being that you are overseas, if your commander approves.

Your Peblo can contact the disability coordinator and get an update for you. I wanted to extend my time in so my kids could finish the school year, so my command wrote a mission essential memo to extend me 30 days. So when that got approved by afpc, they gave me the date my orders would be cut.

Just a little update. My peblo said the VA portion is complete and they sent over my package to the IPEB for upload to my peblo.

My Peblo said the VA finished their ratings and sent it over to the ipeb for theirs. Should be back to me soon. As for the permissive leave, I was shocked. We do have almost all of our cyber NCOs getting out though because they don’t want to do mission defense.

Did you talk with the ODC when you got your ratings?

Guy in my unit is medboarding and just recently waited a week for orders, not too bad.

So my permissive was denied again, but they are willing to route a "mission essential" memo to AFPC to extend my active duty time. I need to stay in the local area so my kids can finish school.

Hey @Migraines, called my PEBLO today and she said she looked at my case and I should have my ratings by the end of the week! I unfortunately get migraines too, I got botox and a nerve block in my neck that really helped. When I do get a migraine still, I take ubrevly. Have you tried those?

Google “PACT act” and you’ll get an idea. Caused a lot of backups at VA because of all the claims that were put in.

No, I’m still waiting. MyFSS sent me a notification on the 12th of Feb. PEBLO said the VA has moved through the PACT act claims fairly quickly so they are getting through the medboard claims pretty fast - 3 weeks she said.

Is anyone else having issues getting permissive leave approved by their commander? I’m Space Force and we have a ton of NCOs separating in my unit. Acting Shirt says the CO mentioned that it isn't fair that medically separating/retiring members get any permissive leave when those normally...

So do they not calculate your future accrued leave that you would earn on Terminal leave?
