    Bipolar II Pilot IDES Timeline

Be ready for a long wait and get a lawyer to help you if needed (one that takes a percentage of your backpay if you win). I applied in September with the help of a lawyer and am still waiting for a determination. It’s much harder to qualify for versus the VA so I’m not really holding my breath.

Finally received my ratings! How long does it take to outprocess?

I might be a one off case but had my ratings on 9 Mar 22 and orders by 11 Mar 22. My final out is 1 Apr 22 but that’s only because of TMO. Could’ve out processed in a week easily but the biggest pain in the ass is getting in contact with everyone you need to see and having them sign you off in vMPF.

    My IDES Timeline

Yes, I’d just add to make sure you continue to get treatment and keep your records. Will be useful when you get reevaluated, that way you have the best chance for maintaining your current DOD percentage should the VA decide to reduce you at some point in the future.

    My IDES Timeline

Unless you have the evidence to prove your mental health condition is currently permanent and stable I wouldn’t fight it. “3.17.3. Placement on TDRL. Applies to service members that meet the requirements for permanent disability retirement except that the disability is not determined to be...

PTSD and MDD with anxietY. Things left out of report — can someone explain? Should I appeal?

My examiner didn’t check the box for SI either but it was documented elsewhere in my mental health records. When my rating decision letter came back from the VA they annotated this was one of the symptoms I had that led to their determination so they had to have pulled it from somewhere. If you...

    Bipolar II Pilot IDES Timeline

Probably not as it’s intended to be used “for a pre-separation or retirement relocation activity such as job or residence search”. Kind of a little vague but I guess it’s ultimately up to your CC.

I thought that sounded a bit weird, but yeah if you want to take 20days PTDY and all your terminal leave you’ll be out the door pretty fast. Got my orders on the March 10th and should final out April 1st.

Did you recently start the med board process? If so it probably means your AAC 37 expires Feb 2023.

    Bipolar II Pilot IDES Timeline

Within the span of 2 hours I received an email from my PEBLO, wounded warrior rep, and mypers saying I had an approved retirement. Logged into vMPF and my DOS was reflected and an hour later I checked PRDA and my orders were there.

    Active Duty AF IDES Timeline

Yeah didn’t expect that. It’s what I requested, heard from others it’s best to pick date near end of month so VA pay starts quicker as it pays out the 1st of the month for the previous month.

    DBQ missing Tricare online

6 of my DBQ’s never showed up on Tricare online. PEBLO called me and said she received all my DBQ’s back so I asked her for them and the 6 weren’t there either. Called my MSC and he said what he had differed from what my PEBLO had and the remaining 6 were there so he gave them to me. Must be...

    MEB: cardiovascular condition/depression

No problem, everyones case is very different but you can get a general idea of what step comes next and how much longer you’ll have to wait by browsing through other timelines on this forum. I’d say 2-3 months until you get your results/ratings back from the IPEB.

    MEB: cardiovascular condition/depression

PCS, as you will be receiving separation/retirement orders.

    MEB: cardiovascular condition/depression

Not sure on the first part but if medically retired/separated you get what's called a "home of selection" move which means you can pick anywhere in the U.S. (including Alaska and Hawaii) unless your home of record when you joined was somewhere outside of that in which case you would get paid to...

Congrats and hopefully you got the result you wanted. I signed my 1180 today too, requested DOS of 28 Apr 22 so I guess we’ll see who gets orders first.
