On the MRSA - I don’t expect it to pass this year (or maybe ever). Also, it’s likely to be capped at longevity, so there’s a ceiling there for most of us.
I used to be in the camp that this would be for full pension and full disability. However, I find myself more in the camp of @Provis that when it passes it’ll be capped at longevity.
Your lawyer is right about being able to apply for CRSC for training injuries that “simulate combat.” However, CRSC is totally separate from the medboard process, takes place after you out. I don’t see how a formal board helps that case at all.

I agree with your interpretation 100%. I’m shocked at what appears to be such a blatant and incompetent reading of the relevant statutes. Lay all of this out for them in a reconsideration. If the outcome is the same, contact your local congressman.
The only thing that might make sense if is if they withdrew at a higher percentage than your actual tax bracket. Basically, you would find this out by just filing your taxes. The other possibility, is that your Peblo is just talking out his ass.
