Good. I got out in 2005 and they went back and medically retired me so i just went thru the audit process with dfas and the va it took them bout 4 months they just finished it up yesterday. Sometimes it takes a while.

If you received any type of severance pay you will have to pay that back before the va will pay out anything.

No i have not filled out anything for the VA. So that can not be it.

I hate DFAS i have been on the phone for 57 minutes and 33 seconds. Been transferred 3 times just to make sure that they received my DD 2656 and to see if they had received a copy of the repayment letter from the VA. They are getting as bad as the IRS.

Hopefully they only take a percentage out for you but for me they took the entire thing. You may want to follow up with the VA on that part.

I finally received my packet yesterday. You know they told me that the papers were mailed out on the 6th of Sept. Welll the post mark says Oct 4th so i wounder whos mail room did it sit in for almost a month.
