whats the difference? The unfitting condition is vocal cord dysfunction. I had thyroid surgery which ended up with paralyzed vocal cords. When I received my 199 it said separation with severance pay! But when I received my orders today it says Im authorized severance but not entitled to...
So I finally received my orders but I think I may be screwed! When I received my 199 I had a ratting of 0% from the Army and 0% from the Va (for the issue getting me into the MEB/PEB). My PEBLO said that since the VA rated me 0 , I would get a severance that I wouldn't need to pay back. Ok...
I'm in the same situation. My PEBLO told me they will not recoup because the VA isn't paying you for that condition, ( the one that placed you in the whole process ). Now if once you get out & try to appeal the VA for a rating for that condition then it's possible they can recoup. But as of now...
They found me unfit because I can not to
Soldier skills. It was noted on PHAs prior to me coming on to the AGR program. I had to get half of my thyroid removed in 08, I came on AGR 2012.... I was having breathing issues so after multiple test the conclusion was I have a paralyzed vocal cord and...
No it wasn't.....I'm a reservist who went AGR, so they are saying I had problems with my throat prior to coming on Active Duty and that the military only aggravated it.
So I got my 199 back today. I was sent into this whole
Process for 1 condition ( I claimed other things on the VA side.) The PEB and the Va gave me a rating of 0 because they said that it was a pre existing condition and the army only aggravated it so the are going to separate with severance...
Yes my changed as well.... When I checked one day it was at pending decision approval then the next day it went to gathering evidence. I called the VA and they said that the VA portion is done and they sent my packet back to the PEB! So this is good news! Hopefully I'm not waiting on my 199...
I'm giving the Army 3-4 weeks as well. I heard that things will start moving fast again! Which is awesome... But I don't want to get my hopes up.
