    VA Rating After IDES

Oh, geez, it was Sept until late December as I remember it. The PEB was waiting on the VA for nearly 2.5 months.

    Portsmouth, VA Timeline

Geez, is it one of those typical government "upgrades" that makes everything worse?

    Portsmouth, VA Timeline

I'm not as recent as some of these other timelines, but you can get an idea from my timeline in my signature.

    Question about separation orders?

Out processing is always at mid or end of month, bank on having right around 45 days from receipt until your retirement date. You can check my timeline in my signature for an example.

    Money after IDES

My longevity retirement came in quickly (first payment in May), but VA was July 1 when I retired April 24th.

    House/Job Hunting

All the same rules apply as if you were retiring if you're over 20. Under 20, if you're on here, is pretty clear at the link below. https://militarypay.defense.gov/Benefits/Leave-Benefits-During-Transition/

    Question

WELL, you have to read between the lines a bit, but, if you were found fit, there wouldn't be findings in the traditional sense. There would be a notice to PERS to process continuation orders and remove the LIMDU ACC. It's a pretty safe bet that you're unfit.

    NAVY TIME QUESTIONS

You can see my timeline in my signature, but that's been pretty typical as of late. The Navy doesn't have an expedited process, and from what I know of the Army, the approval for expedited process generally takes longer than just waiting anyway. Just of note, I had 2 days in between my...

    Final Pay

It's been a while, and a few MNCC tickets, but I finally figured it out after getting on the phone with a DFAS supervisor. I actually received sold leave+final paycheck on 24APR25. What they didn't include was the pro-rated bonus for the partial year. I opened a MNCC ticket, included the...

    Last Paycheck

My final paycheck is still being held and i was retired 24APR25. I received my sold leave prior to getting out. There doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason for anything. I called DFAS earlier this week and they confirmed that a worksheet from TSC Norfolk had not been sent to DFAS which is the...

    Final Pay

Update to my final pay: I called DFAS and verified that they received the retirement/separation worksheet from TSC Norfolk. They didn't, so I had to open up a MNCC ticket by calling 833-330-6622 in order to get TSC Norfolk to do their job.

MEB Timeline (NAS Jacksonville via Kings Bay, GA)

UPDATE: My deferred conditions from my original claim were closed after a medical opinion today, and then finished processing the backpay in the same day dating back to 1MAY25. Still waiting on final paycheck from the Navy/DFAS.

    After IDES VA Claim

My dependents are still getting processed. The paperwork got lost in the shuffle of my deferred conditions and I had to call the VA help line to get a request put in to process it.

    Money after IDES

You will get money back to 1JUN25, but accounting requires that all payment statuses be updated by the 20th of every month. You won't get your first check until 1AUG25.

    Medboard status

No data on what the PEB is doing with it unless you're calling Jeff. He can also, only, give so much in terms of what's happening. The case closings are all specific to the VA, and you can sign up and look with your VA app. Given that, it seems that typical timeline from PEB submission to VA...
