Unfortunately that’s about the time frame. I submitted mine in September 2017 and it was a 10 month wait. 4 months later it went to 12 months. It was just about 12 months to the day when mine was approved. Good luck!!!
There is no way of dodging the wait times unless you call first thing when they open up and you get lucky. You can ask to speak to a tier two rep in regards to your crsc file.
I have not received mine, I was approved in August, first payment in October. Dfas lady told me they didn’t start my audit until November, 14 and to call back the middle of January.
It’s funny, if you owe dfas money they take it quick. If they owe you money, they look for every reason not to pay up. And then they take there time. They’ll be like, well when you were in 2nd grade you owed lunch money so $2.00 with 22% compound interest over 30 years you have a no pay due.
