So far I have not had a problem, per se with the site, mine is that I'm looking at this on a gov't comp. and everyonce in a while I get the warning about the contents not having a valid security certificate, but other than that no real problems.
Mike,
I'll have to relook at the paperwork again, the PEB was more concerned with the fact that I couldn't carry a load or wear IBA/Kevlar than anything else. I think the ROM stuff was just glossed over as it was only bearly mentioned in the final paragraph of the section covering my shoulder...
Jason & Mike,
Total points I won't know till I talk to the AG people, my current rank is E-5. Yes the TSR is total shoulder replacement, the DCCS here denied it because I was in the MEB process and said it was "elective" surgery. Been on AD this time since '08 and this all started in '09. Had...
NOt sure if you get to pick your MEB site, but they may send you to Walter Reed/Bethesda or one of the bigger installations on the East Coast for your MEB/PEB. As for leave, my PEBLO told me I coudl take leave but I had to coordinate it with her in case she needed to get in touch with me about...
I received my findings of unfit for shoulder and cervical spine problems and was rated at 40% PDRL by the Army (I'm in the Legacy System). I am trying to figure out what my retirement pay will be, since my PEBLO never counselled me on it. I have a total of 11 years AD and 21 years for pay. I...
Just read this in the Army Times thought I would post it here for everyone:
Army removes 2 Madigan doctors from PTSD duties - Army News | News from Afghanistan & Iraq - Army Times
Seems like someone may be looking for a new job soon, one can only hope!
Thanks for the replys gang, it is now a moot point I have my retirement date and have submitted the paperwork for my leave and am ready to put this all behind me and start the long fight with the VA on what they will give me. Hopefully they will do a better job of looking at my shoulder, but...
I'm by no means and expert, but I think you can rebutt that as well, Jason or Ltc Parker would know better than me on that. Are you going through the IDES or Legacy program? That will have an impact on things as well.
Twinkie,
The NARSUM is a Narrative Summary of all conditions that you are being evaluated for by the MEB that do not meet retention standards. The doctor that did your NARSUM should have looked at your medical recordsd to verify all the conditions that didn't meet retention standards, you...
thanks pittpan,
That's what I thought just trying to get my ducks in order, the Ops Sgt here doesn't think I can, because in her words, "if you are being chaptered you can't" Umm I'm not being chaptered I'm being retired, big difference. Now at least I have something in writing to show her...
Hey all,
I really need a solid answer on this, can a soldier that was not in a WTU and who has been found unfit by the PEB and concurred with the findings, PCS Home or take what is called Leave Awaiting Orders?
Only asking cause that's the situation I'm in and all I can find is the section...
Not sure there is an actual AR, but it may be in a CG policy letter on whatever post you are on. I've had appointments during PT and haven't had any negative fallout from it from anyone whether I was with a Division size element or even here where I am now, which is basically a detachment sized...
concerned,
One thing to look forward to is a lot of waiting, this process seems to take forever. Alot will depend on your range of motion for your knee. Have you had the back and hip pain looked at, they might and I stress might be connected to your problems with your knee. It also depends...
