    Decision Ready Claims

Anyone actually use this system yet for a rating increase? The program was originally introduced a few months ago for increases only and now recently expanded to the above listed claim types. Interested to see if that timeline is actually accurate.

Navy - Help choosing a separation date

My understanding on how the Army does it is this: You'll have time to do your out-processing (dependent on your location, but usually 10 days) plus the time that it takes to process the paper work (figure about a week). I'd guess about 20 days total. This will be when you'll pick up your DD-214...

My process was a bit different because I submitted a VARR so I'm not sure how long from signing 199 to starting PTDY, but I'd guess about a month. I was told last week Thursday that my VARR was complete and my name hit TRANSPROC. My leave was scheduled to start January 5. So I'm guessing about a...

My name hit TRANSPROC last week and I had my first meeting with Retirement Services on Monday. Looks like my "retirement date" will be 9FEB16. PTDY and terminal leave begins 5JAN16. I was told that if we have less that 60 days of leave, then there's no real choice on when our date is. They...

*Update* I met with my PEBLO yesterday and was informed that the VA found no changes based on my VARR. The letter from the VA was pretty laughable. Basically said, we see one of your contentions (I listed 3) but we've decided that we can't make a mistake. Anyway, my name hasn't hit TRANSPROC...

I'm very sorry to hear that. Just make sure you follow through on all your medical appointments and accurately report what's going on. If you're having a flare-up, get evidence of it. My MEB at Bragg was actually pretty great. My NARSUM provider was excellent. My issues mainly came at the...

Sorry to hear about your complications from surgery. Hopefully you'll be able to recover soon! I'll make sure I keep this updated...In fact, I'm meeting with my PEBLO today so I'm assuming I'll have an update later today.

Why is the VA doing this if I havent been found unfit yet?

In my case I went to Pending Decision Approval before my packet even went to the PEB. In order to save time the VA can do your ratings early and then simply wait for the PEB to determine fit/unfit. If unfit then the VA gets the notice and within a day or two approves the proposed ratings and...

    VARR and NLT Date

I've searched these forums and couldn't find info on this specific situation. If I agree with the findings of the IPEB (DoD 60%/VA 90%) but request a VARR to increase the rating percent how is my NLT date calculated. Is it calculated from the date the DA-199 is signed or from when the VARR...

How soon can a NOD be filed?

Along with this question, who are the reconsiderations (not the VARR, but the DRO de novos once a Veteran) and NODs processes through? Our ratings come through Seattle DRAS but the original claim is processed through our local regional office. Do we get processed through the local VARO or...

    Movement on IDES dashboard

I could not get them to e-mail it to me. They said that e-mail is not secure enough and that fax is the only option. There are many online options that give you a fax number and then e-mail you what is faxed. That's what I ended up doing. I use FaxBurner, but there are many other options.

Quick update: This morning my IDES Dashboard in AKO changed to show a completion date for "PEB Appeal or VA Reconsideration" of 11/07/2016. eBenefits chat confirmed that the VA had sent the Memo for the Reconsideration to the PEB on 11/07/2016. They wouldn't release the results over the chat...

    illegal?

In addition there is now a system called Joint Legacy Viewer that combines your service treatment record with your VA medical record. So any medical provider with access to AHLTA can see your VA info, including percentage. Having said that, this route is specifically medical information so...

IDES process going by really fast

When you submitted your VARR did you see an additional claim open in eBenefits? Was there anyway to track the status?
