Final Dual-action Timeline (3 years long)

I'm nearing the end of my process as all I am now waiting for is a decision from the 16th AF CC and for orders, which i've been told should be just around the corner. That said, I thought I'd post my final timeline here for others to see. I am being dual-processed for a minor, non-misconduct...

Help! Dual process done, commander choosing OTH

I have been in the MEB process an incredibly long time, being dragged through the mud the whole way. In May 2024, the PEB came back with a medical retirement recommendation at 90%. Since, I’ve sat waiting for the final determination on my dual process. Today, I was informed that tomorrow I...

Need help - no idea what to do!

I am looking for advice or insight from anyone who has been in a similar situation or has experience navigating a dual-action case. 7 months ago, I was informed that both my administrative separation and Medical Evaluation Board (MEB) were finalized. My First Sergeant told me that my case had...

    MEDBOARD vs Chapter

I've seen people on here with pretty quick cases, but I've never seen a dual-action case be quick. In terms of what the deciding factors are, I would ask your First Shirt, CC, or PEBLO as they would have more accurate answers than anything I could provide. I'd recommend looking at DAFI 36-3212...

    MEDBOARD vs Chapter

You'll be in my situation, a dual-action. Your admin separation and MEB will progress parallel to each other. Once both are completed, your total package (your admin sep + MEB) will be submitted to SAFPC where they will make a decision. However, because you do not have 16 years of service, SAFPC...

CASE BEEN IN MEB FOR MORE THAN 180 DAYS - NMC Portsmouth

From introduction to my PEBLO to me receiving my VA disability ratings, it took roughly 1.5 years. I was diagnosed with an unfitting condition all the way back in October 2022 and I am STILL waiting for my orders to separate. So yes, MEBs definitely can take months and months. If I have...

SAFPC taking several months for a decision?

The ADC was not aware of my case, so they told me to contact the SJA/Base legal. Upon doing so, I was met with a lengthy email response informing me that I am apparently circumventing my chain of command by going directly to base legal for a status update on my case. I don't quite understand...

Why is the DAWG taking so.............long

Did you end up posting? If so, could you link the post? I am in the same situation as the folks above - dual action case

SAFPC taking several months for a decision?

I got a response from them, took about 48 hours for anyone curious. "Your case was returned to AFPC/DPFDD back on 5 Jun 2024 because you have less than 16 years of service. SAFPC only boards dual action cases on behalf of SecAF for officers or enlisted members with over 16 years of service IAW...

    MEB Timeline

When my package was first sent to AFPC, as yours is right now, I was informed of a 30-45 day timeframe for a response from them. Mine personally took about 2 weeks or so. In my signature block is my own timeline if it's any help for you.

SAFPC taking several months for a decision?

Great information to have! I appreciate it! I'll shoot that org box an email and take a visit to that website, thanks!

    PEBLO not responding

Call them, I talked to my PEBLO over the phone on the regular. In fact, most communication between the PEBLO and I was over the phone. Even if she was just going to send an email, she'd call me prior to notify me of said incoming email. If you don't know their number, call the operator at the...

SAFPC taking several months for a decision?

That's unfortunate. Everywhere I go I receive conflicting information. Keep me updated on your process and i'll do the same!

SAFPC taking several months for a decision?

Did your shirt happen to give you a rough ETA on how long decisions take?

SAFPC taking several months for a decision?

I kind of have a slight update. So turns out that SAFPC just simply forwards your package to your base legal, specifically the General Court Martial Convening Authority (GCMCA). The GCMCA is a Colonel or above, typically your group or wing commander, who convenes a board that decides what action...
