Yeah, I don't blame her entirely...The system as a whole is a tad flawed and lacking transparency. I am glad that everything in my case went quickly though and am now in the process of wrapping my brain around leaving the Navy 2 months shy of 11 yrs.
Other than apparently putting my package together correctly, my PEBLO is a moron. She didn't know it had gone to the VA, I found everything out by calling the VA myself.
Do you need to do a PLD chit? The word I got from YNC at Pers is that you'll likely have 60 days to seperate from the time they get the results of the PEB.
It seems that the Navy is on a roll these days. Just informed that my case is finished up and my ratings are in. Here's my timeline.
02Oct2011: Broken tib/fib, surgery at civilian hospital
22Nov2012: Surgery to remove hardware/repair torn ligaments and tendons
08Jan2013: Referred to MEB by...
Ya my overall VA proosed rating is 30%, I only had 6 issues that were being rated. Based on the C&P write up I am assuming that the breakdown is going to be somewhere around 10% ankle, 10% tinnitus, 10% surgical scar. The patient admin guy would only tell me that the package was back in DC...
I just called them today after not being able to get ANY info from my PEBLO on my case. The VA rep was pretty cool, he said he couldn't see the complete breakdown of my rating percentages but did have the overall percentage, which to me is better than anything the Navy has given me thus far...
Congrats on getting your stuff from your PEBLO, mine is still playing cat and mouse games. My ebenefits page states they are done, but it seems nobody at the Balboa PEBLO office can give me an answer. Maybe I'll hear something this week.
