got the email on thursday... got orders tuesday... the email contained my results letter from the SECAF. Pretty much i did my formal board in feb 2011 and appealed findings then, and roughly 11.5 months later, i have orders to retire. i would just plan on getting out, so take all the schooling...

airforce goes to lackland afb (san antonio) i think army would go to dc. my finding there were the same as the previous.... 30%. the lawer and i thought we had a really good case to stay in, but it seamed that the board had made up their mind before i even steped in the office.

i just got my orders yesturday to retire. i was dx sep of 2010. had my formal board feb of 2011. i was told it would be min 14 months at the sec level. but turns out it was about 12.

im on some other web site and a few guys just posted recently that they were able to stay in AD AF. now one guy is a Physicain Asst, and is in a criticaly maned field, so he was able to stay, the other did not say what his AFSC (MOS) was. that was all the way at the SEC of the AF level, same...

i heard it kinda depends on med dependents too. it was a question i had to answer. i am planing on retirement, you should too. sucks, but just look on the bright side of things. i am currently waiting on orders to go to the formal board in tx, im trying to get a better raiting

AF. i kinda already figured theres no way ill be able to stay so appeling to stay would be trickey and i dont feel like the fight will be worth it.

just recieved the ipeb results. 30% retire for ms. do i go to tx for higher % or am i just waisting everyones time? vision loss in each eye (25%) is my primarly sx with typical fatige.

i know one person who was allowed to stay in and i think is was because he is at the magical number of 15-20 years of service and was allowed to crosstrain to an afsc where he would be needed had some experience but non deployable and could ride out his last few years
