    Turned age 60 now what?

The mystery has been solved. This guy petitioned the BCMR to have his retirement revoked. In his petition, he alleged he never received a 20 year letter. He also went on to allege that he doesn’t have enough qualifying service to retire. He also alleged that his former spouse was coming after...

    Turned age 60 now what?

Would they calculate like from age 60 to age 100?

    Turned age 60 now what?

Yes, I don’t know how to calculate the total lifetime value. I don’t know how the pension “experts” do that. To calculate cola they would have to calculate the average cola over so many years and then calculate cola on top of cola for each year. Boggles my mind. I struggle with compound interest...

    Turned age 60 now what?

thanks... I am trying to calculate the lifelong benefit value. I am guessing but like the total payout from age 60 to age 100 for example. But then need to add adjusted cola for each of those 40 years?

    Turned age 60 now what?

How would I calculate the life time, total value of a reserve component retirement if the retiree starts collecting their retired pay at age 60? Thanks in advance E-6 22 years of service 6227 points

"640204. Non-Regular [i.e., RC] Retired Pay Members eligible for retirement for non-regular service are not eligible to receive CRDP until they reach retirement age and have applied for and have become entitled to receive retired pay." That is the big enchilada right there!

    Turned age 60 now what?

1405 or 1495....don't understand those...Reg numbers? He is chap 61 so he has already retired.....with a 20 year letter since 2010. A RAS shows the disability retired pay currently being waived for 100 % VA comp. The way I understand it, to apply for Air National Guard retired pay he needs to go...

    Turned age 60 now what?

He has a mix of active duty and reserve component service. The 20 year NERP shows 6,230 points. Now 10 years later, ARPC can only find 6,187 points. There is fraud involved here. He went to the BCMR and requested that his 20 year letter be revoked because his former spouse was after him for her...

    Turned age 60 now what?

The 20 year letter is proof that he retired with 20 good years....that is the purpose of the 20 year letter and that is the only way a 20 year letter can be issued. Just because PCARS can’t find 20 years now 11 years later doesn’t mean he can be denied retired pay or that he didn’t retire with...

    Turned age 60 now what?

Received this email from Air Reserve Personnel Center today. Obviously the Army Reserve time was accounted for back in 2009 because they issued the 20-year letter. He hasn't applied for longevity retired pay yet. His disability pay is being waived for 100% VA comp. Now they say he doesn't have...

Anyone ever hear of this CRDP fraud?

Actually it is very clear and helpful. Thank you!

Anyone ever hear of this CRDP fraud?

"A divorce decree can include a provision compelling the member to apply for retirement." Sorry Ron I just caught this. As far as federal law is concerned, I don't think (I am not an attorney) a court can force anyone to apply for any federal benefits whether it be retired pay, VA comp or...

Anyone ever hear of this CRDP fraud?

Ron wrote: "DFAS knows nothing about a "20 year letter" (i.e., 20 good years COE) until they receive the veterans packet for approved RC retirement." That is exactly the point. DFAS has the TDRL/PDRL orders for the chap 61 but they won't get any of the longevity retired pay records until he...
