I suspected it was far more than internal mental processes as much as chemical and physical changes to the brain when exposed to extreme conditions only found in modern warfare.
Thanks for sharing.
We can disagree all you desire but I personally don't care if you get promoted during your MEB or not. If you do, good for you. All I know is if you want someone to tell you what you want to hear, you have come to the right place.
Now when you come back and complain it didn't work out for you...
No one gets promoted before they are selected. If it is your hope to get promoted prior to your medical board, you may have to make some hard career choices.
You can't have your cake and eat it too.
+1 on this. EPTS for PTSD? What a bunch of shitbags. Even a dumbass like me can see this at best erroneous, worst case directly trying to strip you of benefits. You need to fight this.
Court of public opinion goes both ways. You are encouraging the OP to reapply and based off this fast and loose argument regarding what defines detainment coupled with a lack of evidence is setting the OP up for failure.
I am saying don't apply if you don't qualify and the OP was already turned...
Whoa whoa whoa. Respectfully you are encouraging the OP to straight up reapply without being a bit honest to them? Are you serious?
Wow.
It is a waste of the boards time because the OP was already turned down before. So yet another packet goes up on a stack of CRSC packets bogging this...
Ed- The OP's saying he was attacked by a Third Country National and trying to tie it to the conventional defining characteristics of one becoming a prisoner of war.
OP: This story sounds terrible. How did you escape? Did you have to shoot your way out or beg for your life? How long were you...
I'm not saying you are being disingenuous but I'm not a rating official. I will say this: sometimes the Air Force and the VA gets it right. I think in your case this will happen. I hope your case is more substantive than you are showing here.
Correction: not TDRL but the VA? Yep, I got a C&P scheduled for my two injuries that put me on TDRL. I wonder if in the rare instance if the VA finds me P&T, will the Army use this data as justification to also put me on the Permanent Disability Retirement List.
I will make a point to reach out...
Im sure you will get it soon. Timelines are generally skewed but if only by a couple days which honestly is irritating but not at all surprising.
Same month I got approved for CRSC I was notified I also have a TDRL reevaluation so I think they are catching up on their backlog.
