Update: Finally received my orders! Per the email my PEBLO sent me, AFPC approved my retirement on 30 Oct, though nothing was sent to my PEBLO until today. Received an automated email about our a new document having been uploaded into PRDA and there they were! DOS: 11 Mar 26
In my career field, officers don’t deploy quite that often and there are also minimal TDYs (and they are typically only a few days), so it was easier to justify in my case.
You can go TDY and deploy CONUS only with my C code (I think there are three different ones). I work a desk job so I was still able to do most of my job even when I was in pain. While it definitely depends on the board members’ opinion, I think how much your job performance is affected is the...
I was on humira and returned to duty with a C code. A full MEB wasn’t directed until I continued to have significant issues and was hospitalized a couple times. I’m also on Zoloft and don’t think it was ever really considered during my first IRILO or current MEB as it’s not disqualifying.
That was all they gave me. I think I'll be submitting a case/asking a question every few days since AFPC refuses to provide a general update about medical sep/ret.
2 Dec 2025 - Per the TFSC: Your case has been forwarded to the office of primary responsibility for review/action.
Looks like this needs to be done before I will have orders pending :/
Hi! You can read my timeline for Crohn's. I am also on Remicade. Situations are a little different due to my ostomy, but that wasn't really considered for my MEB.
DoD Rating is based off of your "unfitting condition(s)." So the only way to get above that 20% would be for the MEB to add more conditions that they consider unfitting for continued service. The secondary conditions you mentioned would have to be bad enough that they could probably be boarded...
Talk with the ODC (your PEBLO should have given you their info), but I think a VARR is beneficial if based on the rating schedule, you believe you can justify a higher rating
. Mine only took four days from submission to being at step 5 of 5 and that was at the beginning of the shutdown...
I’m back to say I learned at a VA workshop today that being discharged for a service connected disability makes you eligible for 100% of the Post 9/11 GI bill :) I assume because we cannot meet the 36 month requirement for reasons out of our control...
How much leave do you have? And what was your EAD? I’m pretty much in the same boat, but I believe if you have met the initial 4 years, any time after counts towards you getting a percentage of post 9/11 GI bill.
