The picture is old back in my E4 days.

I was injured during VBSS ops in the Gulf back in 2006, thought I had a pulled muscle, so finally in 2007 went to get it looked at. The trauma I caused my hip turned into a degenerative joint disease. Due to only being 30 at the time I was urged to hold off on surgery, so I limped for 5 years, and finally in 2012 it was bone on bone so I had it replaced. In January of 2014, during my PEB process, my other hip went bad, and on August 5th I had it replaced as well. Dr said it was due to overcompensating for too long.
This was my unfitting disability and also found to be combat related. I joined this forum to ensure I am educated about all the procedures and benefits I may be eligible for.
Currently I'm rated at 70% DoD, 100% VA, and on the PDRL, however my recent hip replacement is not included on those figures. I'm on convalescent leave until October 31 when I retire, so I'd like to see if my DoD rating can be raised as well. Thank you!
