IDES worth it, if already receiving 60% VA compensation?

I received my O199 last week and I hope to have my orders in a couple of weeks. I only had 30 percent VA when I started the MEB and now I am at 70% and still awaiting one more service connection. It took quite a while but I am glad that I went through the IDES...but shew, I never thought I would...

Thank you! I ended up with 40% DOD/70% VA without my main issue being rated as of yet. I hope to see 90-100% VA. My Pueblo stated that I will receive my orders within 30 days of 29 September (fingers crossed its this month!). Good luck to you and I hope that you received some news soon!

I think you are correct. I hate even checking it because it reminds me of how far behind I am

IDES worth it, if already receiving 60% VA compensation?

I have attached my IDES timeline as of today. My packet was submitted last November. I don't think COVID has done me any favors regarding appointments during that time and folks getting settled in to telework. I hope to have something finalized soon.

    Army NG Timeline 2021

Thank you! And you are 100% correct about the Tricare, that is my biggest concern. As for my VA appeal, my back was rejected by the VA when I returned from Afghanistan. I was in an accident during one of my KLE's (hit an IED crater hole going about 55 MPH and it was about 6 feet deep, not a...

    Army NG Timeline 2021

That is awesome! Very happy for you and to see someone who moved pretty quickly! I am also NG and I have unfortunately hit roadblocks at all of my stops with an exception to 3. My MEB findings were the following: 1. Lumbar Invertebral Disc Syndrome Status Post Discectomy- Medically unfit. No VA...

IDES worth it, if already receiving 60% VA compensation?

I am currently in the NG and I am going through the IDES process. It is a long process, however, in the end I hope to receive Tricare since I am a title 32 tech and my commercial copays are ridiculous since I am not allowed to have tricare. However, with an active duty percentage of 30% or...

    My Timeline

It seems that the back is a tricky thing. I have friends who have received great results and many such as yourself that have not. I have had several back surgeries and after 29 years of rucking, APFT, running, it certainly hasn't helped. But I am one of the crazy folks that absolutely love PT...

Thank you and yes, it helps alot. That is what I am assuming as well. I have been found unfit from the MEB for my back/neck injury, however, my back is the one issue the VA has not yet service connected (but they have service connected my neck). I am currently sitting at 70% without my back...

I contacted my Pueblo, no answer as of yet. I also contacted my VA POC and basically he stated until the VA rates by back, I am at the mercy of the VA. As far as the MSC, they are at the mercy of my Pueblo/VA rating. Its been quite the process. Thank you for replying.
