I only did 5 years TIS I should have clarified that at the beginning, I remember specifically selecting VA compensation only if I fucked up by not checking a single box or something is this an issue that is able to be fixed?

My claim has been closed (finalized) since April 2nd would this still apply?

Opted into VA only before I got out. Medically retired march 31st and instead of getting VA compensation I am getting retirement pay.. can anyone please help with how to resolve this? Im imagining this is gonna lead to a head ache of an issue and definitely won’t get my first VA compensation...

Posting an update here, the night my EAS updated I submitted my outbound on MOL the morning after my EAS updated on MOL I went to IPAC outbound and they gave me my DD214 that same morning and I got orders to begin PTAD Feb 28th at 0800 (that very same fucking morning). Left Camp Pendleton Feb...

Asked my MSgt when I can put PTAD and terminal leave in and he said when i do my outbound and get my DD214? Does this make sense to anyone?
