My Timeline - Currently Waiting on VA for Ratings

Just talked to my MSC, I got a new one because mine transferred. He said congrats from DOD side but couldn’t tell me the percentage. He said he was expediting my case and should know something within 24 hours. He said to call everyday starting on Thursday and we would figure it out.
That's great news, congratulations! I know you've been waiting a while so it's about time.

I wish they would go ahead and expedite all late OCT - NOV cases right now because we're all pushing 6-10 weeks at this point. I was told no more than 3-4 weeks so I feel your frustration. I'm glad you got some positive word, keep us updated.

Wouldn’t that be nice lol

I have no idea. My online VA stuff is so messed up, it shows my maiden name but it might take a week or two for the claim to actually close once I sign for my ratings, since the proposed aren’t final.
Not gonna lie, I’m jealous lol. Congrats…still waiting on my end. NOV7th unfit.

Thanks! It's been a long time coming, this is my second medboard in 5 years and I am SO READY to be done. This second one started back in May. I really hope we all hear some updates soon.

congrats! I just emailed my MSC. I haven't talked to them since I did intake b.c. honestly I forgot about her.

EDIT: She replied - Your case is pending with the VA as of the end of November. Right now, the VA is extremely backed up and are working the cases as fast as they can. We still have some pending from the end of October. I am unable to give a timeline of when it will be completed, but you can always email me and ask for an update in a few weeks. Please let me know if you have any questions.

I was PEB accepted mid September but they don't start working on your claims until you are found unfit. So the timeline starts after that, mine was Nov 4 and it was submitted to the VA to be processed for ratings after that.

so pretty much the VA closed ur claim you’re just waiting to get ur findings from ur peblo?? That’s awesome I’m so happy for you!! Hopefully I’m right there too bc I think we were found unfit and sent to the VA the same day. When you go on VA.gov does it still show nothing? Some people say they can see a closed claim
Yeah I have my VA disability percentage I got it Jan Friday the 13th. My attorney said I’m just waiting on the PEB to give the DOD findings back to me here’s to waiting another fucking week.

How did you get the info about having a percentage from the va? Does ur peblo have access to see that?

Or if you called the va would they still say ur in the decision phase

So I got news from my MSC, it will probably be about another 3 weeks until we are able to get to the claim
This is insane... Looks like I will be waiting even longer that expected. I am gonna reach my 6months at PEB by then.

That’s ridiculous… they need a better system. I’m just gonna do a random skillbridge to get away from the military at this point.

God I wish I could do that, I asked at the very beginning and they told me no because I wouldn't have the required 6 months needed for it, well jokes on them now...

Who told you that?? Most skillbridges you can choose the amount of time.
the LIMDU coordinator Chief for my command, it was one of the first things I asked and she shot me down immediately. Yeah I'm not sure why they wanted me to have 6 months but that was the excuse I was given.

Thats poor leadership… they should let you do skillbridge At the end of the day it’s up to your commanding officer not some chief
Skillbridge has been a touchy subject at my command the last year, we got a new CO too and the guidance keeps changing.. it sucks but it's way too late now, debating if I should take leave and chill at home or save for my terminal... just tired of sitting here

When did you case close on VA website? I'm gonna hit up my lawyer and check but mine close jan9th and I have not received a damn thing from the PEBLO.
